Chloe's Spring Dance Recital

Spring is the time of year for blooming flowers, graduations, weddings, and if you're three and a half years old, your dance recital.

Chloe loves the dance recital for her costume and the brownies served afterwards as much for the performance itself.

She's the youngest one in the performance and she's still working on her technique. I have video for those of you who wanted to see her dance but couldn't make the show.

Ballet technique: it never hurts to add an extra spin or jump to the routine.

Tap technique: singing is just as much fun as dancing, spin until you find your mark, and props require a little more work.

Growing Up

We're back from our trip to Paris and although we had a wonderful time I think everyone is happy we're home. (More on Paris later)

Since we've been home there have been a few changes for the twins, signs they're growing up. I've kept them in highchairs because it was easier to contain them and their mess, but now we've moved to big kid chairs that pull up to the table. Thanks to our friends Chris and Heather (also twin parents) for passing along these cool chairs.

It's fun for us all to sit down, pull up to the table, and eat a meal together.

Another change is we've finally taken the sides off the twins cribs. Since we've been home they've started climbing out of their cribs in the morning. They've been able to do this for awhile and just didn't, so it was easier to keep the cribs in tack. But now that they've decided they want to climb out it's just too dangerous.

I took them to Target to pick out pillows for their "new beds" while Carl took the sides off. It is a little sad.

We've gone from this:

One cool thing is the quilts our cousin Carolyn made are perfect as bedspreads on the toddler beds. I can't believe how much we've used these adorable quilts!
